Final Trailer and New Stills from Glen Keane’s ‘Over the Moon’

Netflix has just dropped the final trailer and new series of stills from
their highly anticipated animated musical adventure, Over the
Moon, directed by the legendary Oscar-winning director Glen
Keane (Dear Basketball) and co-directed by Oscar-winning director
John Kahrs (Paperman). The film, produced by Pearl Studios, the
animation house that co-produced last year’s Abominable with
DreamWorks Animation, will premiere on the streaming giant this
coming October 23.

In the film, Fei Fei, a bright young girl fueled with determination
and a passion for science, builds a rocket ship to the moon to prove
the existence of a legendary Moon Goddess. There she ends up on
an unexpected quest, and discovers a whimsical land of fantastical
creatures. In the trailer we learn a bit more about our feisty heroine
and her seemingly impossible quest to build a rocket to the moon;
despite the odds, she succeeds, though her miraculous journey to
prove the Moon Goddess is not just a childish myth puts her in the
middle of a contest no one could have predicted.

Netflix will release the film on October 23 worldwide except in China. Pearl Studios will distribute the film in the Middle Kingdom.

Jon Favreau’s ‘Gnomes & Goblins’ VR Experience Coming September 23

Immersive Entertainment Studio Wevr has just announced
that Gnomes & Goblins (G&G), an immersive VR experience
created by film maker Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Lion King,
The Jungle Book, The Mandalorian) in collaboration with VR
Director Jake Rowell (Call of Duty, Superman Returns, theBlu),
will be released for PCVR on Steam, Oculus and Viveport, available in the home beginning September 23, 2020.

Produced in partnership with MWM and Golem Creations,
Gnomes & Goblins is the long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s
Gnomes & Goblins Preview. The all-new VR experience is a
high-fidelity multi-hour fantasy adventure simulation. G&G
invites players to embark on a dream-like journey and
explore an enchanted forest world where interactions with
the realm’s denizens shape the story’s evolution. This hybrid

Ubisoft Announces ‘Assassin’s Creed’ and ‘Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell’ VR Games

|
|
Ubisoft has announced the development of two new games exclusively for the Oculus platform
based on the Assassin’s Creed and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell franchises; both games will deliver the
signature fantasy of each brand through a unique immersive VR experience. Led by Ubisoft’s Red
Storm Entertainment, in collaboration with Ubisoft Reflections, Ubisoft Düsseldorf and Ubisoft
Mumbai, the games will be created from the ground up specifically for the Oculus platform. Each
game will include elements from the company’s hugely popular franchises.

By bringing Assassin’s Creed and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell to VR, Ubisoft is continuing to innovate
in this growing sector. A pioneer of new technology, the company has been developing VR
experiences since 2016, with titles like Eagle Flight, Werewolves Within, and Star Trek Bridge Crew,
all of which are available on the Oculus platform.

session where he showcased his work done for various TVC commercials. He even narrated his
journey from being a student at Arena Animation to a professional. 70 students attended the
session.

The Fundamentals of Film Making
|
|
Ms. Deepmala, Founder and CEO at the Visual House, conducted an online webinar on
25th September on how to find a concept for a film. She even discussed topics such as making a
zero budget film and working within the deadlines. The session was attended by 100 students.

Design as a Solution
|
|
On 26th September, Mr. Harsh Panchal, Art Supervisor at 26 Five India, conducted an online session
on design as a medium of problem solving. He addressed students about the latest designs in the
market and how to make an ideal portfolio. He even provided tips and tricks to 100 students who
attended the session.

Contest Alert
|
|
Arena Animation, on 11th September, organised a competition on In-camera Transition. Mr.
Prashant Agarwal from Sayajigunj, Vadodara won the first prize. While the second and the
third prize was given to Mr. Arth Girishbhai Vahaluwala from Bharuch, Gujarat and Mr. Vivek
Rakholia from Sayajigunj, Vadodara, respectively.
