Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom released
|

It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort, Jurassic World,
was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits
abandoned by humans, while the surviving dinosaurs fend for
themselves in the jungles.

When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris
Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue
the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event.
|
|
|
With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills, this joyride sees the return
of favourite characters and dinosaurs. Welcome to Jurassic World:
Fallen Kingdom.

Directed by J.A. Bayona, the epic action-adventure movie was released
on June 22, 2018.

Brad Bird’s heroic return to Animation with ‘Incredibles 2’
|
|
|
|
Pixar’s most beloved and ‘super family’, the Parrs, blasts onto screens
once again with the release of ‘Incredibles 2’; Director Brad Bird’s
follow-up to his 2004 Oscar-winning animated super hero adventure.

|
Fourteen years later, ‘Incredibles 2’ picks up right where the original
story left off. Elastigirl is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers
back, while Mr. Incredible navigates the day-to-day heroics of ‘normal’
life at home with Violet, Dash and baby Jack-Jack, whose superpowers
are about to be discovered. Edna Mode also returns for the second
instalment of the superhero movie.

Netflix unveils new trailer & poster for ‘Flavors of Youth’

Netflix has unveiled a brand new poster and trailer for its forthcoming
anime feature, ‘Flavors of Youth’.
|
|
|
From CoMix Wave Films, the creative visionaries behind the international
phenomenon ‘Your Name’, comes Netflix’s new anime feature film ‘Flavors
of Youth’.
|
|
|
Told in three chapters in three cities, ‘Flavors of Youth’ explores the simple
joys of life through sensual memories and how the beating heart of love
cannot be defeated by the flow of time.
|
|
‘Flavors of Youth’ will stream globally on Netflix on August 4, 2018.

Arena Animation recently organised a ‘Study Tour’ to
‘Prime Focus’ under the leadership of Mr. Ben – Head
of Production, Mr. Lakshman – Head of Operations
and Mr. Naresh from HR Department. 16 students
and 4 faculties participated in this tour, where they
got an opportunity to see how departments like
Roto/Paint, Stereoscopic, etc. work. The experts also
shared their insights on various technical skills
required in the current scenario and informed them
about the various opportunities prevailing in ‘DNEG’,
with which ‘Prime Focus’ has now merged.

BOOT CAMP
|
|
|
60 students participated in a recently conducted ‘Boot Camp’ by Arena Animation where experts
spoke about communication & interview-handling skills, resume tips, common interview questions,
etc. The experts also reviewed the portfolios of the students. 8 students were shortlisted at the end in
the final round of interview.

|
42 students participated in a workshop on ‘Career Scope’
organised by Arena Animation. It gave the students an
opportunity to enhance their professional as well as soft
skills through experts who shared their views on how to set
goals, how to communicate, the job opportunities in the
market and so on. The experts also reviewed the portfolios
of the students and gave tips on how to enhance them.

CREATIVE ART WEEKEND
|
|
|
As a part of its ‘Creative Art Weekend’, Arena organised a Charcoal Drawing exercise to encourage students
to explore different forms of art. It was an exercise in providing students the fundamentals of drawing and also
helping them think about fundamental concepts to explore infinite opportunities in creativity. Spread across
3 days, the activity involved different topics like Still Life, Gesture Sketching and Live Sketching for students.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
|
|
|
Arena Animation organised a competition for internal as well as external students from varied colleges where
they had to create imaginative cartoon characters on the occasion of ‘International Yoga Day’. It was organised
for encouraging students to innovate & imagine their creativity in the form of cartoon characters enacting yoga
poses. Their creations were then put up at the centres for industry experts or a jury to judge and award
the students.

DRAWSANA - DOODLE CONTEST
|
|
|
On 21st June, 2018, Arena Animation organized ‘Drawsana’, a cartoon/doodle competition to celebrate
International Yoga Day. This competition invited participants not only from Arena centres but also from various
colleges. Participants were supposed to explore their imagination in the form of cartoon characters. The response
was very good and all the participants enjoyed the event. Total of 429 students participated in the contest, out of
which 3 winners were awarded by Mr. Balraj K.N. who is a renowned cartoonist and public speaker.
