‘RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET’ TEASER TRAILER
Disney has released the first trailer and a new image from its upcoming animated feature ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2’, due Nov. 21, 2018 in theaters.
Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) navigate the vast and dynamic world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s game, Sugar Rush.
Directed by Rich Moore and Phil Johnston and produced by Clark Spencer, the film features the voices of John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Taraji P. Henson, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch.

‘APES’, ‘COCO’ AND ‘GAME OF THRONES’ TOP 16TH ANNUAL VES AWARDS
The Visual Effects Society’s 16 Annual VES Awards is the prestigious yearly celebration that recognizes outstanding visual effects artistry and innovation in film, animation, television, commercials, video games and special venues.
Comedian Patton Oswalt served as host for the seventh time to the more than 1,000 guests gathered at the Beverly Hilton to celebrate VFX talent in 24 awards categories.
‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ was named photoreal feature film winner, earning four awards. ‘Coco’ was named top animated film, also earning four awards. ‘Games of Thrones’ was named best photoreal episode and garnered five awards, the most wins of the night.

BAFTA AWARDS
The winners of the EE British Academy Film Awards were announced at the ceremony hosted by Joanna Lumley at the Royal Albert Hall, London, on Sunday, February 18, 2018.
Roger Deakins won his fourth BAFTA for Cinematography for ‘Blade Runner 2049’, which also won for Special Visual Effects.

Arena Animation organised a student workshop on Augmented Reality on 20 February, 2018. 38 students participated in this workshop which had Tejas Porecha as the Speaker.

The International Animation Day ’18 was celebrated on 22 February, 2018 at Shilpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad. It had gaming carnivals, cosplays, workshops, showcase by production houses, guest lectures and much more. Students also got the opportunity to meet industry experts and got their guidance.

SEMINAR ON ANIMATION, VFX AND GRAPHICS
Arena Animation organised a Career-oriented Seminar on Animation, VFX and Graphics on 21 February, 2018. Around 126 students attended this seminar which had topics like Introduction to Animation & FX, Presences of Animation/FX in the Current Scenario, Careers and Opportunities and Placements etc. Creating Awareness on Multimedia Career Opportunities for graduate students was the learning outcome of this event.
