Project Description:

A minimalistic movie poster about a Bollywood movie, called Laapata Ladies. The story revolvs around 2 individual brides, from misadventures to happy endings with their personal motives.

Thought Process:

The idea behind this poster is to show the 2 main characters and the 3 others, inter-connected to help each other's misadventures. The red Ghungat represents the bride's side of life. The 5 characters in yellow, are shown in the form of flower petals along with some jewellery/features to recognize them (inspired by Hibiscus) and Railway track + train, because how the story starts around the train journey (inspired by pistil of Hibiscus). This movie has taught me about the importance of education, being independent and self-respect of women.
