Project Description:
Character Name: Nyxa About the Character: Nyxa is a sinister entity born from the depths of a cursed lake, where the shadows of the drowned whisper to her. Once a village maiden betrayed and left to drown by those she trusted, her despair merged with the lake’s ancient curses, transforming her into a fearsome entity. The spirits of the lake granted her immortality, but with a grim purpose: to feed on the fears of the living, forever bound to the waters. In her fed form, she appears as a hauntingly beautiful maiden, her hair flowing like dark water, her eyes glowing red like embers in the night. But when hunger stirs within her, she reveals a more monstrous side—her hair stretches out like shadowy tendrils, and her grin widens with a hunger that can never be sated. Her very presence sends shivers through the air, and the waters around her grow darker, as if absorbing the fears of those who come too close. Legends say that Nyxa emerges during the Amavasya (new moon), when the night is darkest, and the boundary between the living and the dead thins. She is drawn to those who harbor deep, hidden fears or guilt, using their own emotions to unravel them. Her voice carries a lulling, but chilling melody, which weakens the resolve of even the bravest souls. Nyxa is not merely a creature of darkness; she is a reminder of unresolved traumas and unspoken truths. Her appearance is a harbinger of inner turmoil, and encountering her means coming face to face with one’s deepest fears. It is said that to escape her grasp, one must confront their own darkness, for she feeds not just on fear itself, but on the denial of it.
