Marvel Studios’ movie release ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’
Peter Parker returns in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighbourhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter's plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent. Directed by Jon Watts, the movie released in India on 5th July, 2019.

Disney's Live-action movie remake ‘The Lion King’ released
‘The Lion King’ Comes Full Circle after 25 Years with Disney's releasing the live-action remake of the movie on 19th July, 2019.
Directed by Jon Favreau, the movie journeys to the African savannah where a future king is born. Simba idolises his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother, and former heir to the throne, has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is rife with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

Photogrammetry Capture brings Michelangelo’s Sistine Ceiling to Life in VR
From the years of 1508 to 1512, Michelangelo painted 300 individual figures across the 6,000 sq. ft. interior of the Sistine Chapel which depicted several scenes from the Old Testament, beginning with the Creation of the World.
Now thanks to the tireless efforts of Epic Games’ Lead Technical Animator and self-proclaimed Michelangelo fan-boy, Christopher Evans, fans of the iconic sculptor, painter, architect, and poet have the chance to step into a painstakingly-crafted recreation of the historic art powered by Unreal Engine and the Valve Index VR headset.
Experience near life-like VR rendition of the Sistine Chapel, complete with 100 clickable locations and an hour-long guided audio tour. Pieced together in Unreal Engine using 90 4K maps composed of 15-years worth of high-resolution scans and photographs, each piece of art included in the experience features an incredible amount of detail.

On 3rd July, 2019, a workshop on the ‘Concept of Storyboard and Animatics’ was conducted for students at our centre. It discussed the technical and aesthetic aspects of storyboarding, camera angles and movements, key frames, animatics, duration of scene, etc. A total of 37 students attended this session.

On 5th July, 2019, a workshop on the ‘Colour Theory & Colour Harmony’ was conducted for students at our centre. It was an interactive session about the technical and aesthetic aspects of colour wheel, colour codes and colour harmony for graphic and digital painting. A total of 20 students participated in this session.

On 16th July, 2019, a technical session on ‘Portfolio Development’ was conducted for students at our centre. It was an insightful session that focused on portfolio developments for graphics, web field and the process of making show reel for the Animation & VFX industry. On 17th July, 2019, a technical session on ‘Portfolio Development’ and a workshop on 2D Character Animation with Animate CC was conducted for students at our centre. It was a great session that laid emphasis on visualisation development for graphic designers. During this session, students learned the various aspects of 2D Character Animation. A total of 40 students participated in this session.

On 18th July, 2019, a workshop on ‘Relevant Skills for Visualisation’ was conducted for students at our centre. The workshop helped students improve their drawing techniques and creative process. The workshop also focused on the importance of icons, symbols and multiple meanings of abstract words. A total of 40 students participated in this workshop.

It was a proud moment for us when the names of 6 students from our institute appeared in the credit title of one of the biggest animation movies of the year.
Wonderful job done by Gitesh Sahu, Soni Pandey, Shekh Afsar Qais, Dharnish Singh, Parihar Sakshi Gupta and Rahul Kant. Keep up the great work. You’ve made us so proud!

Yash Meghani, an Arena student from Rajkot won the 1st prize for Best Concept at the Buddha International Film Festival for his short film titled Incidence.
 
 
Placement Highlights
A total number of 54,994 new projects were uploaded this month on Creosouls and 681 new users joined. Also, a total number of 2,536 jobs were posted for different locations.
