Gothic fiction began as a sophisticated jokeHorace Walpole first applied the word Gothic to a novel in the subtitle A Gothic Story of The Castle of Otranto published in 1764 When he used the word it meant something like barbarous as well as deriving from the Middle Ages The gothic style of architecture originated in Europe Middle Ages It is characterized by vertical proportions pointed arches external buteressing and asymmetry Gothic had become so influential that we can detect its elements in much mainstream Victorian fictionWe The Masterstrokers have selected the theme Gothic for first round of our Competition The Showcase from Lakme Academy Meerut All these accessories our model is wearing are hand made including the dress We have tried our level best to represent this look in best way we could This was a wonderful experience working as a team We really appreciate the support and guidance we have recieved from our Faculties at Lakme Academy Meerut
